Trudy Sullivan, Health Catalyst’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Diversity Officers. This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by utilizing best practices and leading organizational change.
This prestigious award recognizes Sullivan’s deep expertise and exemplary work in driving DEI initiatives at Health Catalyst, creating an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and empowered to contribute to the company's success, and her leadership in overcoming global health equity obstacles.
Sullivan is responsible for developing and implementing Health Catalyst's DEI strategy. She fosters greater team member engagement and sense of belonging, and partners with the People Ops organization to increase representation, empower and grow affinity groups, and ensure marketplace recognition. Under her leadership, Health Catalyst has formed its six affinity groups: InspirASIAN, Women Empowered (WE), Shades, Queers & Allies, Military, Veterans, Family Member and Allies (MVFA) group, and the newly formed Neurodiversity affinity group. Sullivan is also the chair of Health Catalyst's Diversity Committee and hires and hosts high school, undergraduate, and graduate student DEI interns.
In addition to DEI work with Health Catalyst team members, Sullivan supports Health Catalyst partner organizations. With Sullivan’s leadership, Health Catalyst developed the Equity Assessment and Guidance Solution designed to improve equity at hospitals and health systems. This augmented intelligence-driven assessment, which in less than two weeks, uncovers quantifiable disparities in care, the contributing characteristics of the disparities, affected patient subgroups, and the number of lives that will be favorably changed or saved with changes in care management.
Her expertise in DEI has enabled her to assist healthcare organizations worldwide in leveraging Health Catalyst’s data and analytics platforms, tools, and services to build a systematic approach to evaluating health equity as a core part of their commitment to quality. She speaks widely on healthcare equity topics and shares a message of hope and collaborative action that showcases how Health Catalyst partners are implementing successful initiatives and shifting the industry toward a more equitable future for all.
