Dr. Guy Glover, MBChB FRCA FFICM DICM, trained in Anaesthesia and Critical Care before being appointed as a Consultant in Critical Care at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK in 2009 where his interests include severe respiratory failure / ECMO and rapid response systems in hospitals. Dr Glover has been a service lead for Critical Care Outreach, and Chairs the multi-disciplinary ‘Acutely Ill Patient’ committee where he leads a clinical and analytics group for the purpose of service evaluation, quality improvement and research. Recent publications in Covid-19 include new approaches to identification of deterioration, validation of pulse oximetry for home monitoring and the effect of awake proning, in addition to studying the impact of delays in admission to critical care. Dr Glover is passionate about data driven healthcare to improve the care of acutely ill patients in hospital.
